Public Relations Committee:
Co-Chairs: Gina Riley Gray & Jim Barrett


The Public Relations Committee shall be composed of the Board Chair and three (3) or more Steering Committee members. This committee shall be responsible for drafting the organization's press releases and creating & maintaining the HPHPF website. The Public Relations Committee shall create & maintain relationships with media outlets, city and government officials and community leaders.  The Public Relations Committee shall be responsible for coordinating annual special events & fundraising activities, including Juneteenth Parade & Festival, community picnics, Hamilton Park school wide reunion, and other community based events. This committee shall coordinate its fundraising goals with the Finance Committee and Historic Preservation Committee.
 

Nonprofit Governance Committee:

Co-Chairs: Angela Grant Mitchell & Gerald Bright 

The Nonprofit Governance Committee shall be composed of the Executive Director and three (3) or more Steering Committee members. The Nonprofit Governance Committee shall also be responsible for overseeing Executive Committee governance which shall include orientation of new Executive Committee members, overseeing Executive Committee development tactics and programs, and using best efforts to review and update these Bylaws every two (2) years. This committee, excluding the Executive Director, shall recommend candidates to fill Director and Officer vacancies and shall present a slate of candidates for Director and Officer positions to the Executive Committee before the annual HPHPF meeting at which approval of recommended candidates will be sought.

 

Historic Preservation Committee:
Co-Chairs: Gahlen Warren & David Jefferson  


The Historic Preservation Committee shall be composed of three (3) or more Steering Committee members. This committee shall initiate, oversee and recommend for endorsement & approval all projects related to the preservation of the Hamilton Park neighborhood, including the creation of the Hamilton Park historic park, designated markers, Hamilton Park Senior Heritage House and other related projects. The Historic Preservation Committee shall be responsible for the collection of historical memorabilia & digital photography, the coordination of the Hamilton Park school wide reunion, the creation of the Wall of Fame, and other related projects.  This committee shall coordinate its projects and communication efforts with the Public Relations Committee (the HPHPF website).
 
Redevelopment Committee:
Co-Chairs: Angela Grant Mitchell, John Sudds & Jeana Warren

The Redevelopment Committee shall be composed of the Executive Director and three (3) or more Steering Committee members. This committee shall initiate, oversee and recommend for approval all projects related to the future sale and redevelopment of the Hamilton Park neighborhood, including market analysis, creating an approved list of licensed realtors, developing plat dimensions, communication with city & government officials and potential buyers, determining benchmark prices (minimum) for land to ensure “highest and best use” values, developing terms of purchase and sales contracts, and other related projects. This committee will act in the best interest of the Hamilton Park homeowners at all times. The Redevelopment Committee shall coordinate its projects and communication efforts with the Public Relations Committee (the HPHPF website).

  
Resource Committee:
Co-Chairs: Elaine Ford Johnson, Wendy Watkins & Debra Cephus

The Resource Committee shall be composed of the Committee Chair and three (3) or more Steering Committee members. This committee shall create a group of sub-committees which shall initiate, oversee and recommend for endorsement & approval various resources for the community of the Hamilton Park neighborhood, including recommended resources related to: senior citizens, pastoral guidance, outreach ministries, financial planning, estate planning, legal advice, housing, youth scholarships, economic development and other community based resources. This committee shall coordinate its projects and communication efforts with the Public Relations Committee (the HPHPF website). 

 

Advisory Council:
Members: Pauline Dixon, James Barrett, Tonya Grant & Dennis Williams


The Directors may maintain a volunteer Advisory Council which shall not have nor exercise the authority, responsibility or duties of the Directors. Except as otherwise provided in such resolution, members of such Advisory Council need not be HPHPF members. The Directors shall appoint the members thereof. Any Advisory Council member may be removed by the Directors whenever in the Directors’ judgment the best interests of the HPHPF shall be served by such removal.
